On Saturday 9 April we had the great pleasure of hosting Mickey Trescott in the Delicatessen to talk about her journey and her cookbook 'The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook'.
Mickey Trescott has recently been helping people find creative solutions to preparing, cooking and succeeding with allergen-free diets. She is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and following Celiac and Hashimoto diagnosis she started to make the transition to Autoimmune Protocol. Slowly reversing her vitamin and mineral deficiencies and subsequently improving her health.
We had a great evening with Mickey who discussed her illnesses, the journey she went through trying to get the correct diagnosis and how the changes she made to her diet and through research and trial and error, she has managed to increase her overall health.
We had about 25 guests enjoy Mickey's story, who then participated in a good old Q&A session about their own experiences and issues. To say it was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience would be an understatement.
